What the licence actually covers
Buying a licence gets you the plugin, one year of version updates, and support from the developer. The plugin itself is GPL-licensed, like all WordPress and WooCommerce code has to be. The licence key is what unlocks updates and support, not a technical restriction on the code running.
Why manual renewal
Most software subscriptions renew themselves by default and make cancelling the hard part. We decided early that Wexofy would not work that way. When your licence is approaching expiry we email you at 30 and 7 days out with a renewal link at 30% off. If you do nothing, nothing is charged. The plugin keeps working exactly as it did, it just stops receiving updates and support until you renew.
This is a deliberate trade-off: it means a small number of customers forget to renew and lose the discount window, against the alternative of charging a card without an explicit, dated decision to do so. We would rather you renew because you want to, at a price that rewards you for doing it. It also happens to be the direction regulation is heading: the European Commission’s forthcoming Digital Fairness Act, expected to be tabled in late 2026, is specifically targeting subscriptions that are easy to start and deliberately hard to leave, including silent auto-renewals (European Parliament Legislative Train Schedule). We would rather not need a law to make us send that email.

Site limits, not seat limits
Licences are priced by how many sites they cover: Single (1 site), Agency (5 sites) or Unlimited (25 sites), not by how many of our plugins you run. If you buy the Complete Bundle, one key activates every plugin it covers, and your site limit counts sites, not plugins: seven plugins on one store still uses one slot.
The 30-day guarantee
If a plugin does not work for your store, you have 30 days from purchase for a full refund, as long as the licence has been activated on no more than one production site. Details are on the refund policy page.
