Nothing is sent. On your store the button also adds a dated order note and works as a bulk action.
Local pickup has no status of its own in WooCommerce, so “your order is packed, come and get it” usually ends up as a manual e-mail. Pickup Ready turns it into one click.
Where the button is

What happens
The order is marked ready and a dated note is added, so anyone opening it later knows when the customer was told. The customer gets an e-mail with your pickup address and opening hours, and a clear request to send an SMS or call before arriving, so the order is on the counter when they walk in.
Only where it belongs
By default the button appears only on orders whose shipping method looks like pickup. The keywords used to detect that are a setting, so it works whichever pickup plugin you run.
A proper WooCommerce e-mail
The message is a real WC_Email: it appears among the other WooCommerce e-mails, is translatable, and can be overridden from your theme. Address, hours and the “tell us before you come” paragraph are all fields in the settings.

What does the customer receive?
An e-mail with your pickup address and opening hours, plus a request to send an SMS or call before they come — so the order is on the counter when they walk in.
Will the button appear on every order?
No, only on orders whose shipping method looks like pickup. The keywords used to detect that are a setting, so it works with whichever pickup plugin you run.
Can I edit the e-mail?
Yes. It is a real WooCommerce e-mail (WooCommerce → Settings → Emails → Order ready for pickup). Address, hours and the “tell us before you come” paragraph are fields, and the template can be overridden from your theme.
What happens after the first year?
The plugin keeps working exactly as before — we never disable anything remotely. Updates and support pause until you renew. We e-mail you 30 and 7 days ahead with a renewal link at 30% off, and nothing is ever charged automatically. Or choose Lifetime and never renew.
Can I pay once instead of every year?
Yes. Pick Lifetime above: one payment of 2.5× the yearly price, no renewals, and updates and support for as long as the plugin is maintained. Compared with renewing yearly, it becomes the cheaper option from year 4.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes — 30 days. If the plugin does not work for your store, we refund the full amount, as long as the licence has been activated on no more than one production site. It covers Lifetime licences too. Details are in the refund policy.
Do staging and local sites use up a licence slot?
No. Sites on localhost, *.local, *.test and subdomains named staging or dev do not count. A licence moves between sites any time: deactivate the old one under My Account → Licences, then activate the new one.
